The Bills had a chance to move into a tie for first place in the division with the New England Patriots with a victory on Thursday Night Football. Unfortunately, Buffalo put together what may have been their most inconsistent performance of the season in a 34-21 loss to the New York Jets.
Buffalo lost the battle of the line of scrimmage on offense as Tyrod Taylor was under duress the entire game and was sacked seven times. LeSean McCoy had nowhere to run managing just 25 yards on 12 carries.
The defense gave up a season-high 194 rushing yards and season-high 34 points, and posted no takeaways for the first time in six games as Buffalo lost the turnover battle by a count of three to zero.
The loss dropped Buffalo to 5-3 at the midway point of the season and 1-3 on the road. Highlights | Recap & Stats
