Deputies: Macedon teen arrested after running down pedestrian

Wayne County Sheriff Barry Virts says a 17-year-old has been charged after an investigation into an accident where a pedestrian was struck, which took place in Ontario.

Virts says David Kennett, 17, of Macedon was arrested following the accident in Ontario, where a pedestrian — identified as Brandon Barron was struck.

Kennett was charged with one count of first-degree reckless endangerment, one count of third-degree assault, and also issued a variety of traffic tickets for various violations.

Kennett was found to have engaged in conduct that created a grave risk of death to another person by recklessly operating a vehicle, according to investigators.

He was arraigned in Ontario Town Court and remanded to the Wayne County Jail in lieu of $2,000 secured bond.
