It was not a great weekend for area high school football teams during the semifinal round of the Section V playoffs. Just two teams remain standing heading into championship Saturday on November 4th. Clyde-Savannah will face Alexander in Class D and East Rochester/Gananda will square off against Cal-Mum/Byron-Bergen in Class C.
The C-S Golden Eagles dispatched with Pembroke 42-24 (highlights) on Saturday afternoon but will not face recent rival Red Jacket in the Class D final after Alexander rolled to a 42-14 win over the Indians.
