Get ready for a windy Monday in the Finger Lakes.
Forecasters say Monday is going to feature strengthening winds as a storm system boils over the Great Lakes, and eventually passes to the north of our region.
FLX Weather Meteorologist Drew Montreuil says wind gusts will range between 25 and 35 mph, before strengthening more during the late-afternoon and evening hours.
Tonight gusts could range between 40 and 50 mph. While advisories have not yet been issued — anyone with loose debris or objects in the yard should pick them up.
Behind the system, temperatures are expected to cool from Monday’s highs — but will still remain above average for this time of year.
