Waterloo woman violated order or protection, charged with contempt

On Sunday, October 22nd at 10:59 am the Town of Seneca Falls Police Department arrested Colleen S. Smith, 28, of Waterloo following a welfare check request.

Police were called to check on the welfare of Smith. When they located her she was found to be with another subject that she was ordered by an Order of Protection to stay away from.

Due to the fact Smith was present with the protected party she was arrested and charged with second-degree Criminal Contempt for violating the court order.

Smith was arraigned in the Town of Seneca Falls Court where she was released on her own recognizance.

She is due back in town court on November 8th, 2017, at 10:00 am.
