Tom Golisano owes approximately $90,000 in school taxes for his home in South Bristol, Ontario County.
But the Paychex founder and philanthropist says he will not pay it until the problem at his Canandaigua Lake home is resolved.
That problem? Geese.
More specifically, the feces that the 50-200 birds are leaving behind on Golisano’s lawn is the problem.
At a news conference Monday morning, Golisano said the waste makes the property at his 2,900-square-foot home “unusable.” He wants the town of South Bristol to take a coordinated community approach to the problem.
