The city’s 2016 Race for Space winner, Wicked Water, is closing its winery business at 78 Castle St. after a year in operation.
The owners of the city’s first urban farm winery are moving and say they still will be making wine under the Wicked Water name, just from a different state. They announced on their Facebook page earlier this month that they are hosting a “Goodbye Party” on Friday at 5 p.m.
“With mixed emotions, we are announcing that Wicked Water is closing our tasting room location on Oct. 21,” the post read.
The three owners — Megan Hall, Alex Fredrickson and Camilia Tahim, all Geneva residents and Cornell University graduates — said in the post that they are all heading to points west.
