Teens charged in Waterloo burglary investigation

At least two teens face charges following a burglary investigation in Waterloo.

Police say the incident took place in September at a residence located in the Village of Waterloo.

The teens were charged and one additional arrest is pending, according to police, who say that the group entered the residence unlawfully and tampered with property at the location.

The teens then left for a short time before returning again, throwing eggs at the residence. The names of the teens are being withheld, but police tell us the following about those facing charges:

One 17-year-old female resident of Junius was charged with two counts of second-degree criminal tampering. Was released on an appearance ticket, according to police.

Another 17-year-old female resident of Seneca Falls was charged with two counts of second-degree criminal tampering, as well as second-degree burglary. The teen was arraigned in Waterloo Village Court and released.

All three are scheduled to answer the charges in Waterloo Village Court.
