Seneca Community Players is seeking theatre directors from throughout the region to participate in their 46th season of providing live theatre in the Finger Lakes. Individuals of all experience levels, from first time directors to seasoned veterans, are invited to submit a proposal for consideration.
Proposals for dramatic, comedic and musical productions of any length are welcome. Opportunities for a “Young Players” production, an evening of one acts, readers theatre, play readings and other new, innovative ideas also exist.
New directors will be paired with a mentor as they learn their craft.
Three time slots are being offered; spring (February-May), summer (June–August) and fall (September-November). Prospective directors should choose a time slot which coincides with their personal availability.
All directors interested in submitting a proposal should complete the Proposal form located on the forms/policies tab of SCP’s website at www.senecacommunityplayers.org. Please fill out the form as completely as possible and submit it with a copy of your proposed script or program description to Seneca Community Players 2018 Season Planning, PO Box 45, Seneca Falls, NY 13148.
Proposals may also be submitted electronically to the Season Planning Committee at [email protected]. All proposals must be submitted no later than November 9, 2017 for first round consideration. Late submissions will be considered only if slots remain open.
Proposals will be reviewed by the SCP Season Planning Committee and potential directors may be asked to attend a meeting of the SCP Board of Directors to discuss the proposal prior to its acceptance. Director’s whose proposals have been accepted will be notified following the Board of Directors meeting in November.
