A 70-year-old Shortsville man was charged with driving while intoxicated after colliding with a patrol car owned by the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies say that David Matichak, 70, of Shortsville was charged with driving while intoxicated after failing to yield the right of way at a stop sign and fourth-degree criminal mischief.
The accident happened at the intersection of County Rd. 28 and Shortsville Rd. Both Matichak and the deputy driving the patrol car suffered minor injuries.
The entire incident took place around 5:10 pm on Friday.
