It’s going to be a cold, damp day in the Finger Lakes on Monday, according to FLX Weather Meteorologist Drew Montreuil.
Montreuil says that high temperatures will be 30 degrees lower than they were on Sunday, after the cold front, which brought high winds and localized power outages and damage to the region.
Winds are going to remain gusty throughout the day, with showers persisting through the late-afternoon hours. He notes that the clouds will remain thick, which means temperatures will hover at, or just above 50 degrees.
Temperatures tonight are going to crash again.
This time, they will bring frost and freeze conditions. No advisories or warnings are in place for the southern Finger Lakes or Southern Tier, but only because the date is after October 15th, according to Montreuil.
After tonight, temperatures will slowly moderate throughout the remainder of the week. It’ll also be dry for the remainder of the week, as high pressure builds into the region.
