Festival of Nations coming to Geneva

The annual Festival of Nations has a new home this year.

The free event, which is open to the public, will be at North Street Elementary School from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 4.

The venue change is due to renovations underway at the Geneva middle and high schools.

The festival, in its 11th year, features student- and family-oriented cultural activities to celebrate the diversity of the Geneva community.

The event is coordinated by the Geneva City School District, Hobart and William Smith Colleges and Finger Lakes Community College in collaboration with schools, local artists, musicians, business owners, community resources and non-profit agencies.

The event features a variety of foods, traditions and music from around the world. Longtime community participants include the Martin Luther King Jr. Community Choir, Sons of Italy, Geneva Rotary Club, Boys and Girls Club of Geneva and St. Peter’s Academy Choir and Geneva 2020, among many others.
