Sheriff: Seneca Falls man faces felony identity theft charges

Seneca County Sheriff Tim Luce reports the arrest of a Seneca Falls man following an identity theft investigation.

Investigators say Adam W. Spinner, 46, of Seneca Falls was arrested on Monday after allegedly forging an online application for a credit card in someone else name, obtaining that credit card, and using it on multiple purchases in the Seneca Falls area.

He was charged with one count of third-degree identity theft, two counts of petit larceny, as well as felony counts of first-degree identity theft, two counts of second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument, second-degree forgery, and fourth-degree grand larceny.

Spinner was arraigned in Junius Town Court and remanded to the Seneca County Correctional Facility in lieu of bail.

The Seneca County District Attorney’s Office, as well as the Seneca Falls Police Department assisted in the investigation.
