Solar village project before Geneva City Council

Projects included in the city’s Downtown Revitalization Initiative funding are moving ahead.

Last week, the city announced $600,000 in adaptive reuse funds for commercial developments — money coming from the city’s DRI funding.

On Wednesday, a private housing project powered by alternative energy, and getting $1.25 million in DRI funding, goes before Council.

Lake Tunnel Solar Village, to be built on a vacant three-acre lot near the tunnel that runs under Routes 5&20, will serve as a demonstration project for a new product called Life Wall.
