Redevelopment of the former Kalet’s department store lot on State Street in downtown Auburn is moving forward and a public meeting is planned to hear residents’ thoughts on using the property as a public space.
The meeting will take place at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 16, at the Hilton Garden Inn.
“This is going to be our initial, ‘Hey, what do you think? This is going to be public space, give us your ideas,'” Jennifer Haines, the director of the city’s Office of Planning and Economic Development, said Tuesday.
