Cars, from classic Corvettes to vintage vehicles of all descriptions, will be on view at the The Windmill Farm and Craft Market’s annual Fall Car Show Oct.7 on Route 14A between Penn Yan and Dundee. Come and see nearly 300 cars, everything from Mustangs to fin-tailed 50’s cruisers while enjoying the Windmill’s 30th anniversary season.
You may enter and show off a car yourself at this Cruize’in Time event presented by its president, John Evans. There are no specific classes, there will be dash plaques and 56 trophies, as well as door prizes donated by the market vendors. Registration is from 8 am. to noon and the entry fee is $10 for each show car. A 50/50 drawing will benefit Samaritans Purse for Hurricane Relief. Awards will be presented at 3 p.m.
The Windmill has hosted several events this year, including a large show in May and “pop-up” shows during the summer that included large farm vehicles from as far away as Phelps. For this Oct. 7th show, there are expected to be a large number of Corvettes, the Rochester Corvette Club is planning a special ride from the city.
At previous fall car shows, nearly 300 vehicles have been on display, giving those who come to the market for shopping and food something extra special to see and experience. Owners of classic and vintage cars love to share stories about their rides, how they restored them, and their special features. Stop by and they’ll be happy to tell you!
Admission to the Windmill Farm and Craft Market is always free, as is parking. The market is open Saturdays, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. through Dec. 9.
