When the Albany Times Union reported earlier that New York State’s three licensed casinos are hundreds of millions of dollars behind projections in their first year of operation — the del Lago Resort & Casino was collectively on the Finger Lakes’ minds.
The Tyre facility was among those three, and according to the latest figures from the Gaming Commission, del Lago is lagging.
The $440 million facility estimated that first-year revenue at the casino would reach $263 million. Since it’s opening on February 1st — until August 31st — the casino generated $88 million.
