Motorcyclist airlifted to hospital after accident in Port Byron

A motorcyclist was transported by helicopter after an accident in Port Byron Saturday, according to Cayuga County 911.

 A call about a motorcyclist on the side of road along Route 31 came in at 3:06 p.m, 911 said. The person was picked up at by Mercy Flight helicopter at Dana L. West Junior-Senior High School in Port Byron and flown to Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse.

The Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office was investigating the crash.
