Irma in the Finger Lakes? Slight chance of rain on Wednesday

It’s not going to be a washout, and a large portion of the region will likely remain dry.

That’s the word from the National Weather Service and FLX Weather Meteorologist Drew Montreuil who both note that even with Irma moisture being pushed into the region — it’s significantly weakened, which means a stray shower or thunderstorm is all that will be likely on Wednesday.

Thursday looks like the wetter of the two days, as more widespread showers and thunderstorms work into the region overnight.

By Friday, high pressure will begin building in, and will push that moisture out of the area — setting up for an absolutely gorgeous weekend.
