On Sunday at approximately midnight, deputies were called to the America’s Best Value Inn located in the Town of Geneva for the report of a domestic incident.
After an investigation it was determined that Fernando Vazquez-Rodriguez, 41, of Geneva struck Norma Rodriquez-Sanabria, 49, of Geneva in the face causing injury.
Deputies say Vazquez-Rodriguez was arrested for third-degree assault. However, deputies also arrested Rodrequez-Sanabria due to their being an active stay away order of protection.
Both individuals will answer the charges at a later date.
