Get ready for some rain.
Much of the day Saturday will be dry, but Sunday morning- and afternoon looks to be a near-washout. According to FLX Weather Meteorologist Drew Montreuil rain will enter the Finger Lakes after 6 pm on Saturday, becoming steady overnight, and lasting into the early-afternoon hours on Sunday.
Montreuil says that between 1.5 and 2 inches of rainfall can be expected out of this system.
Behind it, temperatures will push into the low- and mid-80s for Labor Day. He notes that winds will gust, and for the first time in several days — it will feel like summer again.
Forecasters are watching Tuesday for the potential for strong or severe thunderstorms as a cold front approaches. A lot of uncertainty remains within this system, though.
