On Wednesday at approximately 6:15 am deputies investigated a three-car accident with injuries at the intersection of State Route 21 and Andrews Rd.
Deputies say Hazel Matus, of Canandaigua was traveling north on Route 21 when she failed to slow or stop for a vehicle that was stopped, waiting to turn off the roadway onto Andrews Rd.
That vehicle was operated by Andrea Gallinger, of Middlesex, according to deputies. The force of the collision sent Gallinger’s vehicle into the rear of Stephen Carmack, a Tennessee resident.
Matus was transported to Thompson Hospital, but was the only injury reported in the incident.
She was issued a citation for following too closely, according to deputies.
