Auburn school district selects new assistant superintendent for instruction and curriculum

The Auburn school district found a candidate in-house to fill its assistant superintendent for instruction and curriculum position.

The Auburn Enlarged City School District Board of Education approved Krista Martin for the role at a special board meeting at the Harriet Tubman Administration Building on Tuesday night.

Martin, who has been the district's director of secondary special education for around the last year-and-a-half, has also served as a special education assistant and was a teacher in the area for 13 years.

Martin, whose first day in her new job is Wednesday, said she is excited to build upon the work she has been doing in the district.
