Repairs to the downtown Auburn Phoenix Building clock tower were completed Sunday.
According to a press release from Cayuga Phoenix Properties, LLC, the 2 South St. tower has been fully repainted. The dome of the clock tower is now a copper green color, while the tower is a sandstone tone. The accent elements, including the ball on top and the trim around the clock face, are covered in an Auburn shade.
"In choosing the color scheme, we benefited from the advice of many friends, and were inspired by several older drawings and photos of the building," according to the release.
