Report of reckless driver leads to DWI charge in Seneca Falls

The Seneca Falls Police Department reports that a 35-year-old Syracuse man was arrested following a traffic stop on State Route 5.

The Seneca County 911 Center received a 911 call on August 26th around 10:05 pm reporting a vehicle all over the roadway, driving recklessly.

Police located the vehicle and observed the same, according to a press release following the incident.

The operator was identified as Knowledge Ali-El, 35, of Syracuse. He was under the influence of alcohol, according to police, and was arrested.

He was ticketed for driving while intoxicated, improper right turn, unlicensed operation, consuming alcohol in a motor vehicle and third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation.

He was remanded to the Seneca County Correctional Facility in lieu of $500 cash bail or $1,000 secured bond.
