The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports that on August 12th at approximately 11:00 am deputies responded to the intersection of State Route 414 and Ernsberger Rd. for a two-car personal injury accident.
Deputies say a 2017 Ford Mustang driven by Joseph P. Craven, 59 of New York was stopped in a southbound lane on Route 414 to make a left turn onto Ernsberger Rd. when a 2008 Toyota Prius being driven by Vincent T. Pecorraro, 26 of North Tonawanda, hit him from behind.
The two vehicles collided causing extensive damage. Pecorraro was transported by South Seneca Ambulance to Geneva General Hospital where he was treated and released for a head injury. A passenger of the Mustang, Phillip L. Velez, 50 of New York and Craven were both transported by North Seneca Ambulance to Geneva General hospital to be checked over for possible injuries.
Both vehicles sustained heavy damage and were towed from the scene. Pecorraro was issued a uniform traffic ticket for following too closely and he will appear in the Town of Varick court at a later date to answer the charge.
