Michaela Kenny finds America Miss World Pageant grueling but fun

Michaela Kenny was competing in the America Miss World Pageant, held Aug. 8 to 13 in Orlando, but you might not know it by some of the events she took part in.

Like the sports competition, where the women had to perform sprints, do high jumps, long jumps and battle rope (weighted ropes).

None other than former NFL great Charles Woodson was the head coach during the football combine-themed competition.

A fitness trainer herself, the various parts of the sports competition were challenging for even someone like Kenny.

“It wasn’t something I was prepared for,” said Kenny, who added that she persevered the best she could, noting that she was part of the competition’s winning team.

She said her personal workouts include lots of free weights, which were not part of the pageant’s sports competition this year, held at Lake Nona Golf and Country Club.
