Amphibious houseboat to take its maiden voyage on Cayuga Lake

Theon Parseghian’s houseboat, the Beast of Burden, will take to Cayuga Lake in its maiden voyage on Wednesday. The Aurora mechanic created his latest invention out of a 32-foot boat and tractor sprayer.

Unsure whether the houseboat will float or sink, Parseghian is all about showing the truth behind innovating things, he told The Citizen in a June interview.

Paseghian plans to drive into the water around 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 23, at Frontenac Park, 15 Creamery Road, Union Springs.
