Police in Canandaigua say one person has been charged after a physical altercation with a minor in the presence of a child.
Leslie Smith, 34, of Canandaigua was arrested on one count of endangering the welfare of a child. She is accused of initiating a physical altercation between herself and an unidentified 17-year-old female.
While the incident was taking place, at 10-year-old attempted to intervene — to stop the fight — and was struck in the face multiple times, pushed to the ground and kicked out of the house by the 34-year-old with no where to go at midnight.
Smith was taken into custody on August 14th around 1:02 am, according to officers.
The condition of the 17- and 10-year-old was not clarified.
