The body of an unidentified male was found in the Taughannock Falls State Park gorge around 11 a.m. Friday.
The body was located about a half-mile west from the gorge parking lot at Route 89, said Dan Keefe, spokesman for the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation. New York State Park Police are investigating the death.
The body was removed from the gorge and taken to the Onondaga County Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy.
