Motorcyclist airlifted to Upstate following accident in Seneca Falls

Police say they were called to the scene of an accident involving a car and motorcycle on State Route 5&20 in the Town of Seneca Falls at the intersection of Balsley Rd.

Seneca Falls Police say that Robert Andrews, 55, of Seneca Falls was traveling west on Route 5&20 when a passenger vehicle operated by Maxine Norberg, 84, of Waterloo made a left turn into the path of the motorcycle.

The accident happened on Monday around 1:10 pm, according to police.

Andrews was ejected from his bike and transported by North Seneca Ambulance to Life Net base where he was airlifted to Upstate Medical Center for a reported head injury.

Norberg was treated and released at the scene by North Seneca Ambulance for complaints of pain, according to police.

She was issued tickets for failure to yield the right of way and will answer those charges in Seneca Falls Town Court.

Both vehicles had to be towed from the scene due to extensive damage. The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office, Seneca Falls Fire Department, North Seneca Ambulance, and Life Net were credited with helping during the accident.
