Judge Thomas Leone said he remembers watching Brandon Tape play football for Auburn High School.
The wide receiver was one of the team's star players in the mid-2000s. But now he's headed to prison following a serious crime spree in the city.
It began in August 2016 when Tape was arrested for selling cocaine in Cayuga County. He was ultimately charged with six felonies: three counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance and three counts of criminal sale of a controlled substance.
Then, in February, Tape was arrested again — this time, for possessing a weapon and forcibly touching a woman in Auburn.
