A 36-year-old Canandaigua man faces assault charges after an incident that took place around 9:26 on Sunday.
Canandaigua Police say that Anthony R. Tears, of Canandaigua attacked a female with a reciprocating saw, which caused her to suffer injuries to her head, leg and arm.
The injuries required emergency medical treatment, which was administered. The victim was transported to an area hospital.
Tears was charged with second-degree assault and processed at the Ontario County Jail.
