Auburn man charged in late Sunday night stabbing in Town of Victory

Cayuga County Sheriff David Gould reports that on Sunday night at approximately 11:36 PM, deputies responded to a 911 call reporting that an individual had been stabbed multiple times at 458 Victory Road in the Town of Victory.

The subsequent investigation revealed that 35-year-old Joshua Hoeffner had been stabbed multiple times in the head, hand, and torso by 28-year-old Nathan Fillingham. Fillingham resides at 88 Capital Street in Auburn.

The victim was transported to University Hospital and subsequently transferred to Crouse Hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

Nathan Fillingham was taken into custody at the scene without incident and was charged with Assault in the first degree and Criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree. He was arraigned in the Town of Victory Court and committed to the Cayuga County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash or $20,000 secured bond.
