The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office reports that a 52-year-old Canandaigua man was charged in a welfare fraud investigation revealed that he received more than a thousand dollars illegally.
Michael K. Struble, 52, of Canandaigua was charged with fourth-degree grand larceny after an investigation revealed that between July 2016 and October 2016 he failed to report employment and income to the Department of Social Services in Ontario County.
During that time he received $1,028 in temporary assistance benefits that he was not eligible to receive.
Struble was issued an appearance ticket and will answer the charges in Hopewell Town Court.
