The Auburn Enlarged City School District has selected Amanda Simmons as the new Genesee Elementary School principal, according to a district press release.
Simmons was appointed to the position at a district school board meeting late last month. New William H. Seward Elementary School Principal Amy Mahunik was appointed at the same meeting.
Simmons is currently serving as Solvay Union Free School District’s 21st Century Community Learning Center Grant Director, according to the press release.
She had also served as an administrative intern at Solvay Elementary School and as a literacy coordinator for the same elementary school.
