Investigators say a Lindley man has been charged with assault and endangering the welfare of a child, after allegedly choking a 2-year-old child.
Troopers say 20-year-old Jacoby Sawyer was tasked with watching the child and a sibling at home while the parents went to a nearby grocery store.
When they returned the child was found to have suspicious injuries.
Sawyer was subsequently charged with second-degree assault and endangering the welfare of a child. However, he was released on his own recognizance after the arrest.
He’s scheduled to re-appear on August 2nd.
