Seneca County Arts Council announces 2017 “6×6 Frenzy”

The Seneca County Arts Council will hold its annual fundraiser the “6×6 Frenzy” on Friday, August 18th at the Art Works Gallery, 109 Fall St. in downtown Seneca Falls.

A reception from 5:30 to 7:30 pm gives participants a chance to view the work while enjoying refreshments. Door prizes add to the excitement of the evening.

Here’s how the “6 x 6 Frenzy” works. Each $20 ticket entitles the purchaser to one original 6 x 6 inch piece of art. At a designated time during the reception, a bell will ring and ticket holders dash to pick their favorite piece.

Tickets are available at the Gallery during gallery hours, Monday through Friday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Can’t make it the 18th, but want a piece of art? Ask for a designated runner to get one for you or stop at the Art Works Gallery after the event and pick up a remaining piece.

This fundraiser along with other events allows the Seneca County Arts Council to support the arts in the local area. The Council provides an outlet for area artisans to display their work at their Art Works Gallery. We provide art workshops as well as an art scholarship for high school graduates each year.
