Auburn’s Holland Stadium project on track for mid-September finish

Auburn Enlarged City School District athletes may not have to wait much longer to play at Holland Stadium.

In an update on the stadium renovation project's progress given to the district's school board Tuesday by C&S Companies — which is overseeing the undertaking at the stadium behind Auburn Junior High School — officials said the new synthetic turf for the stadium is set to come in on Aug. 7.

Construction managers Lowell Dewey and Matt Mothersell said the material was originally set to arrive at the site Monday, but that was delayed due to recent rain.
