Farmington woman killed in wreck; Henrietta man charged

Police have identified the driver who was killed Monday in a multi-vehicle crash in Mendon.

Hannah M. Kline, 26, of Farmington, Ontario County, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Louie J. Restivo, 47, of Henrietta, whose actions allegedly caused the accident, was charged with first-degree vehicular manslaughter, a felony, said Cpl. John Helfer of the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office. Restivo also was charged with driving while intoxicated and failure to yield the right of way.

Restivo was driving a pickup truck east on Boughton Hill Road at about 7:45 a.m. when he turned left in front of a westbound dump truck, but stopped in the roadway before entering a construction area off the side of the road.

The driver of the dump truck attempted to stop but instead struck Kline’s car, which was eastbound behind Restivo’s pickup, Helfer said.

Both vehicles came to rest near Hunt Club, a residential road just west of the Monroe/Ontario county line.
