On July 15th at approximately 11:41 pm members of the Penn Yan Police Department arrested a 25-year-old Lyons man after he admitted to consuming alcohol beverages prior to a traffic stop.
Matthew R. Atkins, 25, of Lyons was charged with driving while intoxicated, aggravated driving while intoxicated, and failure to keep right after a traffic stop. He was placed through field sobriety tests at the Yates County Jail and committed to the Yates County Jail in lieu of $500 cash bail or $1,000 secured bond.
The charges will be answered at a later date in Penn Yan Village Court.
