Owasco businessman corrects time sheet, takes June off from job with Assemblyman Finch

An Auburn-area businessman employed by state Assemblyman Gary Finch corrected a time sheet he submitted in May claiming he worked three six-hour shifts in the days after he reportedly had a heart attack.

Thomas Galbato, who has been on Finch's staff as a community liaison since 2002, signed an Assembly employee time correction sheet on June 30 — two days after The Citizen published the findings of a two-month investigation into his status as a longtime legislative aide.

The Citizen received a copy of the correction form when the state Assembly's records access officer sent an amended response to a Freedom of Information request that was fulfilled in June. The request was submitted to obtain Galbato's time sheets from May 4 to May 31.
