Port 100’s first “graduate” didn’t have to go far when it came to moving into his first office.
It was next door.
Jeff Kowalski, one of the first members of the city’s co-working site at the corner of Castle and Genesee streets, has moved his growing practice to 110 Castle St. in the Nathaniel Block, a building rehabilitated by owners Dave Linger and Wendy Marsh.
Besides Port 100 and Kowalski Legal, the building is home to a number of high-quality apartments.
Linger gave Port 100 members the first crack at the office/retail space, and Kowalski, whose business was growing rapidly, seized the opportunity.
He had been working at Morgenstern DeVoesick of Pittsford, which specializes in real estate transactions, but wanted to open his own practice. A graduate of Midlakes High School and a native of Clifton Springs, he also wanted to open it in his home county.
