Cato-Meridian school board picks Lees for president, Bratt for vice president

The Cato-Meridian Central School District Board of Education appointed its leadership going into the upcoming school year at a board re-organizational meeting at the district conference room Monday night.

Michael Lees was re-elected as board president, while Kathleen Bratt was made the new vice president following the board resignation of L. Lee Epprecht — who previously held the position — earlier this year.

Lees was nominated by board member Paul Byrne and was seconded by Scott Ford. Bratt was nominated by new member Monica Waite and was seconded by Todd Kacur.

Lees said after the meeting that this will be his seventh year as president, while Bratt said she held the president role for three years right before Lees.
