A Farmington man was stopped and arrested on the north end of Canandaigua Lake after Marine Patrol noted a boat traveling above the 10 mph limit after dark.
The stop took place around 10:08 pm and involved operator, Michael J. Smith, 29, of Farmington. He was charged with boating while intoxicated and unsafe speed.
The boat was towed to a marina by the Sheriff’s Marine Patrol, according to deputies.
Smith was released on citations and will appear in Canandaigua Town Court at a later date.
