Geneva man airlifted after forklift accident at Green Renewable

Deputies in Ontario County say a 20-year-old Geneva man was injured in a work related crash, which took place at Green Renewable Inc. located in Manchester.

Deputies say the accident occurred when a fork lift being operated by Jacob Lyons, of Geneva went off a ramp and over onto it’s side. As result of the crash, Lyons suffered a head injury and was airlifted to Strong Memorial Hospital.

The accident happened on Tuesday around 5:47 pm. He was held at Strong for observation, according to deputies.

Manchester Fire Department, Finger Lakes Ambulance and Shortsville Ambulance all assisted at the scene.

The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
