A Geneva man has been arrested after an investigation into ‘fake’ money being passed around the City of Geneva.
On Friday at 9 am members of the Geneva Police Department arrested Therian Damon Atkins, 31, of Geneva for first-degree felony criminal possession of a forged instrument.
Bail was set at $2,000 cash or $4,000 secured bond, and additional felony charges are pending, according to police.
The investigation remains active, but GPD officials say that Atkins passed fake currency to a business in Geneva during June.
