A Newfield Elementary School student has died, the school district confirmed Friday.
“The district is saddened by the loss of a student,” a Newfield School District representative said. “Our sympathies are with the family. We grieve along with the family.”
The school district would not disclose the child’s name or grade. Newfield Elementary School serves students in pre-kindergarten through fifth grade.
According to a GoFundMe page created Thursday and shared by a Newfield community website, 5-year-old Annalise Buckley was “celebrating her last day of school and never made it home.”
