Daughter, three others charged with murder in Ontario investigation

Four people have been charged with murder in Wayne County, according to Sheriff Barry Virts.

The charges were announced on Friday following a four-month investigation into a suspicious death, which happened on February 1st.

Virts says that Julie Martin, 52, of Ontario was found dead in her home.

Now, four people — including her own daughter — have been charged with murder.

Jasmine Harlee, 22, and a man she was dating at the time, 21-year-old Knowledge Couser of Rochester, are accused of conspiring with Couser’s brother — 18-year-old Davontae Devine and 19-year-old Malquan Drayton from Henrietta, and ultimately killing Martin.

Friends and family say that Harlee was cold the night her mother died.

As for Martin’s legacy, friends told 13WHAM News that “She was good to everybody. She’d do anything for anyone around the neighborhood.”

All four are being held in the Wayne County Jail without bail. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Monday.
