US Lacrosse announced its annual national awards, and the governing body’s girls lacrosse All-American and All-Academic teams includes 12 players from Section V schools.
A pair of the award winners are from Palmyra-Macedon, a team that made history in May by winning its first Section V championship. The Red Raiders advanced to the Class D state semifinals in Cortland with Sophia Leva in goal and Aldyn Savage at midfield, and the seniors were named US Lacrosse High School All-Americans.
